Making Site Private? What do you think?

Postby HRA v3 » Sun Mar 25, 2012 4:52 pm

Hello,

Im thinking about making this site accessible to registered users only. Guests will be able to see the topics, but to read them they will have to register.

What do you think? Is it good or bad? Tell me your opinion.

Thanks.

EDIT: I created a poll. Just vote who are too lazy to reply :D

Good way to go really. Best to keep this stuff locked to registered only.

Great idea. Keeps the links solid from the leeches and the bots. :)

If it will prevent links being removed, please, please do it.

I agree. After all of the time spent, and effort, to safeguard these files is a good idea.

Hi
Answer to question: Yes -- if it helps to make the files and site more secure/ reliable/ better then do go ahead and make as registration required site.

As a poster above, I could find no 'button' to click Yes. So you will have to read my virtual Yes click here... ;)

There was a permission problem. I fixed it. Now you should be able to vote.

I'd love to see you encrypt your files too. Maybe wouldn't work since I don't know the ins and outs of how you upload files, but if the IPs and the Carriers are going to be working to identify us to send us strike warnings, anything you can do to cut them out of id'ing the files you upload is a good thing.
