You could get that message if you are using Easy TV shows listing. After a situation with UL I had to change lot of things and that list needs to be updated.
Also if you are using bookmarks you could get this.

My suggestion is either visit the topic directly (there aren't many topics so it shouldn't be very hard) or use the search.

Thanks

I Think It's The Best Way To Go.

I Used To Moderate At A Few Sites & It Kept The... Nuts Out, If You Know What I Mean.

I think that it is a very good idea, with the exception that "visitors" should not have access to what is on this site.

My reason is privacy and security. What others cannot see, or hack into, shouldn't cause any problems.

Will only people who are already members be allowed? Will no one else ever be allowed to join? If so how often?

I do not think private is the way to go. Most private webpages with invite only always gets busted by the FBI.
By making it private we definitely got the attention of USA and their FBI.

I remember the golden age of torrents. 90% of invite only torrents webpages get busted by the FBI.
Just so you know. Borders does not apply to USA. The US can jail whoever they want from whichever nation they want.

The board is already private. Why go otherwise? But there's just one thing, when this went private, I was no longer able to access this board so I had to create a new account. I don't know what happened there.

I think they are talking about invite only webpage that kind of private.
I do not think elitist society & community is the way to go.

But this is the original post which I assume where some if not a lot of the votes base on:
HRAv3 wrote:Im thinking about making this site accessible to registered users only. Guests will be able to see the topics, but to read them they will have to register.
Most members voted Yes maybe because most of the people who can vote are already members and if it goes private, either in terms of registered or invitational, most would probably say yes since they would be already part of the private board.

If this is about soliciting for opinions and it is about invite-only access, it would depend on the purpose on why would you want to make this private? If the intention is to disseminate the TV shows to a larger audience, then it's a nay. But I think the case might have been entertained due to the speedy deletion on some of the shows such as Grimm and I remember some years ago, the sci-fi series, Eureka! (episodes got deleted mere hours after they were posted). If that's the case, then maybe limit a private access to those shows that are in those category.

Forum is already private.
What I meant by private was not making it like invite-only forum.
I meant making TV shows forums accessible to registered users.

Thanks
